my portrait visits are designed to capture moments with your family. I encourage you to choose an activity for the visit that represents your daily life, whether it be playing with your kids in your neighborhood park, your child's birthday or your parent's anniversary party, a family bbq, your son's football homecoming, a shopping trip with your teenager, or time at home with your new baby. in the end, it will be a wonderful record of special moments that sometimes manage to slip by our busy lives.
visits normally last about an hour, but can be less or more depending on the activity. photographs from the visit will be posted online for ordering prints. storybooks and handmade photo display items are available. please call for details.
about Jean: award-winning photojournalist Jean Lachat of the Chicago Sun-Times has more than 20 years professional experience photographing people. Her unique and instant connection with her subjects, in particular children of all ages, produces honest and true photographic moments, which capture both personality and spirit.

proudly announcing the revival project!
becoming a single mom certainly has its challenges.
by the grace of God, I am blessed with friends and family whose generosity and selflessness have made my life easier as I transition into a new phase of my life. my very own revival.
now it's my turn to give back.
for a few hours a month in my home studio in Mokena, I will photograph single moms and their children for a nominal fee. whether you are divorced, widowed or never been married makes no difference.
for just a $25 sitting fee, you will receive an 8x10 portrait, and a chance to view and purchase additional photographs through the revival project.
if you are a single mom in need a "new" family portrait, call for an appointment with the revival project: 708-296-2170.
appointments will be scheduled in november. watch for date! there will be a limited number of appointment times available, so please call as soon as possible to schedule yours!
$10 from each revival project portrait will be donated to the Crisis Center for South Suburbia, a local organization that offers shelter and assistance to battered women and children. the revival project has donated $60 so far!
